Sconces and Pendants featured in Vermont Cabin Article
This interesting blog post also talks about combining new and old materials. The cabin was designed by Joan Heaton and built by Silver Maple Construction.
"The cabin is of new construction although we used some salvaged materials,” explains architect Joan Heaton. The project presented a host of hurdles including a tight budget and a desire for eco-friendly building practices. And, by the way, there’s no road, just a winding wooded path and a footbridge over a river so all materials had to be hand-carried to the site.

Dresser Reborn: A Fairy Tale by Joanne Palmisano
"Our friend Joanne Palmisano, author of Salvage Secrets, called me a few weeks ago to ask about our glass knobs and pulls for a DIY project she was planning. When she explained she was turning a dated dresser into a dazzling nightstand/make-up station, I asked her to share it with you all via guest blog post. Enjoy!"
